Brewery CMMS, powered by OptiAM

Brewery Maintenance Software Built for the Brewhouse, Cellar and Canning Line

Keep the canning line running and the tanks in spec. HoptiAM is OptiAM, the maintenance platform from Andromeda Systems, set up for breweries.

  • Brewery PM tasks already loaded: mash tun, grain mill, tanks, boiler
  • Works offline on the brew deck with the OptiAM GO app
  • Lockout/tagout steps built into every procedure

“From cleaning the boilers to servicing the canning line to making sure all of our vehicles get their oil changed on time. ASI’s software program allows us, in one simple-to-use program, to do just that. In short, this program will save us money.”

Every Asset That Makes, Moves and Ships Your Beer

A failed seamer or a down glycol chiller costs you a batch, a run or a delivery. HoptiAM keeps all of it in one place, with the maintenance history behind each piece.

Brewhouse equipment

Brewhouse

Grain mill, mash tun, lauter tun, kettle, whirlpool, heat exchanger and the boiler or steam system that feeds them.

Brewery fermentation tanks

Cellar

Fermenters, brite tanks, glycol chiller, CO2 system, air compressor, pumps and the CIP gear that keeps it all clean.

Brewery canning line

Packaging and delivery

Canning line, seamer, labeler, keg washer, forklifts and the delivery vans that get product to your accounts.

What HoptiAM does

Six OptiAM Modules, Set Up for Brewing

The same modules running OptiAM plants and fleets, with brewery equipment and maintenance tasks loaded from the start.

Maintenance Optimizer

Plan PM around brew days and canning runs. Schedule maintenance by calendar or by usage readings, and work orders are created automatically when it comes due.

Work Order Manager

Know every job got done, and done right. Assign work to a person or a vendor, capture parts and notes, and require sign-off. A work order cannot close until every task is complete.

Inventory Manager

Have the seamer parts before the seamer needs them. See what is on the shelf and where, track serialized spares and bulk items like gaskets and O-rings, and flag stock that hits its reorder point.

Asset Manager

One record for every piece of equipment. Serial numbers, location, service and warranty dates, installed components and full maintenance history for brewhouse, cellar, packaging and vehicles.

Task Developer

Your procedures, written once and used every time. Build step-by-step procedures and checklists with lockout/tagout steps, chemicals and tools. Manuals and videos live in Live Library, attached to the asset.

Management Center

See the whole brewery on one screen. Build your own live dashboard of equipment status, open work orders and inventory alerts, so you are not chasing whiteboards.

Canning machine at Big Storm Brewing

Case study: Big Storm Brewing

How a Canning Line Failure Never Happened

The manufacturer’s maintenance specs were followed to the letter. The machine still started running rough.

Monitoring

Early in the machine’s life, rust started seeping from the bearing housings and flanges.

Root cause

Inspection found standard shielded bearings, not double-sealed, installed in washdown locations.

Corrective action

Replacement was scheduled between canning runs, before the bearings failed, so no orders were missed.

Result

Upgraded to stainless double-sealed bearings. Damage to the bearing seats and extended downtime avoided.

HoptiAM Runs on OptiAM

HoptiAM is OptiAM, the CMMS and EAM platform from Andromeda Systems Incorporated, the reliability and supportability engineering team that has supported DoW assets since 2005. Same platform, same modules, same team. We just set it up for breweries.

That means the software behind your brewhouse is also running plants, fleets and facilities in other industries, and it keeps growing with you.

Common Questions

Is HoptiAM different from OptiAM?

HoptiAM is OptiAM set up for breweries. It runs on the same platform with the same modules and the same support team at Andromeda Systems. The difference is the starting point: brewery equipment and maintenance tasks come loaded, so your team is not building everything from scratch.

What brewery equipment can we track?

Everything that makes, moves and ships your beer: grain mill, mash tun, kettle, boiler, fermenters, brite tanks, glycol chiller, CO2 system, compressors, CIP, canning line, seamer, keg washer, forklifts and delivery vehicles. They all live in one equipment registry.

Can we add our own maintenance tasks and schedules?

Yes. HoptiAM comes with brewery-specific tasks such as mash tun maintenance, cleaning, grain mill maintenance, tank preservation and boiler maintenance, and you can create your own tasks and schedules to match how your brewery runs.

Can we schedule PM around brew days and canning runs?

Yes. Maintenance Optimizer schedules PM by calendar or by usage readings, and work orders are created automatically when maintenance comes due, so you can plan the work into the gaps between runs.

Does it work on the brew deck without Wi-Fi?

Yes, through the OptiAM GO mobile app. Download the equipment you will be working on before you go offline, complete work orders and checklists, and everything syncs when you are back on Wi-Fi or cellular.

How does HoptiAM help with safety?

Procedures built in Task Developer can carry the lockout/tagout steps, PPE, chemicals and tools for each job, so the person doing the work has the right safety steps in hand before they start.

Does it track spare parts?

Yes. Inventory Manager shows what is on the shelf and where, tracks serialized spares and bulk items like gaskets and O-rings, records parts used on work orders and flags stock that hits its reorder point.

How is HoptiAM priced?

Pricing is based on the equipment and facilities you manage, not how many people use it. We will give you a real number on the demo once we understand your brewery.

Do we need servers or IT staff?

No. HoptiAM is software as a service, hosted on Amazon Web Services with redundancy and backup. All you need is a web browser and an internet connection.

Does HoptiAM handle invoicing, payroll or crew scheduling?

No. HoptiAM is built for maintenance: equipment, work orders, procedures, parts and PM. It does not do invoicing, cost accounting, payroll or labor scheduling, so it works alongside the tools you already use for those.

Who is behind HoptiAM?

Andromeda Systems Incorporated, the reliability and supportability engineering team that has supported DoW assets since 2005. The same team builds and supports OptiAM.
